Description of the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic medical team. As an OR RN, you will play a critical role in assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Prepares surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies necessary for surgical procedures
- Maintain a sterile operating room environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery
- Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist with surgical site preparation and closing
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Requirements:
- Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
