Facility Electrical Engineer
Position Overview :
We are seeking a Facility Electrical Engineer to support operations at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. This role involves evaluating, troubleshooting, and recommending improvements for power generation, distribution, and electrical control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility electrical infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and maintain facility electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct facility walk-throughs and develop outage support documentation.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, voltages, components, and programming adjustments.
- Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, generators, switchgear, and other power distribution equipment.
- Support maintenance and construction projects, providing technical expertise and reviewing designs.
- Assist in design reviews, vendor assessments, and subcontractor evaluations.
- Ensure safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.
