Social Worker The Social Worker is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, psychodiagnosis, treatment planning, group treatment, individual treatment, family treatment, and discharge planning. Additionally, he/she is expected to function well as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the unit community relations program.Required Skills/Abilities:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•Basic computer skills required.
•Ability to obtain respect of Medical Staff, nursing, and other hospital personnel.
•Knowledge of pertinent community agencies, institutions, and other resources.
•Able to make decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and manage stress, anger, potential violence of others appropriately.
Education and Experience:
Education and Experience:
•Master’s degree in social work
•Current Social Work License in good standing with Alabama State Board of Social Workers Examiners
•One-Three years’ experience as a Social Worker, preferred.
•BLS certification (Can be received upon hire)
