Part-Time Medical Assistant (PRN) – Panama City, FL
We are seeking energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistants to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-notch care to our patients. We provide a range of services including primary care, telemedicine, and aesthetician services. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.
Responsibilities:
Clinical
o Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
o Take patient histories and vital signs
o Prepare patient for examination and treatment
o Dispense medication as directed
o Instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable
o Handle telephone calls from clients, patients, prospective patients, physicians, pharmacies, as well as other staff
o Provide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of position
Clerical
o Patient intake including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections
o Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and companies
o Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing regarding patient care, i.e. insurance carriers, and providers
o Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, providers review, etc.
o Assist with scheduling of test and treatments
o Complete opening and closing procedures
o Help produce and maintain patient education instruction hand-outs
o Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area
o Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise
o All other duties as assigned
