Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Provide support in social interactions and community engagement to foster independence and social skills.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of clients.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health status accurately.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to assisted living, home care, or group home settings.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, home care, social work, group home, or home health settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medication administration is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Flexibility in scheduling is important; availability for various shifts may be required.
