Join a premier healthcare provider at a 523-bed, full-service acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL , and make a meaningful impact as a Medical Technologist with Integrated Regional Labs (IRL). In this role, you’ll perform accurate and timely laboratory testing to support patient care across multiple specialties, including blood bank, serology, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights), offering competitive pay and relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing by analyzing proficiency testing samples according to instructions.
✔️ Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor.
✔️ Complete all required documentation and records for patient results.
✔️ Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
✔️ Use independent judgment to correlate and interpret patient results (e.g., delta checks).
✔️ Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolve outstanding workloads or communicate with staff.
✔️ Perform quality control procedures per protocol and handle critical lab specimens/test results.
Qualifications
Active Florida State Technologist License Required (candidates must have fully applied; license in-hand preferred).
Associate Degree Required | Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology Preferred.
Generalist Experience Required (blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology).
Less than 1 Year of Recent Acute Care Experience as a Medical Technologist Required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
