What are the responsibilities and job description for the Informaticist position at Mon Health?
Job Summary
With a patient centered culture, the Informaticist will provide a positive experience to CUSTOMERS/PATIENTS/COMMUNITY through assuring the overall successful use of the current system, to include implementation of new functionality and software updates. Provides training & support to all users of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/Practice Management (PM) systems and related software programs. Ensures physicians, clinical staff, and administrative staff are trained properly in EMR/PM and assists in developing training programs for the rollout and on-going education pertaining to the use of EMR/PM software and related technologies. Analyzes system and user needs to determine and implement software requirements.
Education
Bachelor’s degree with healthcare designation strongly preferred or 4 years of clinical experience in lieu of degree.
Experience
At least two years’ clinical application experience as end user or informatics role. Advanced knowledge of Cerner Millennium. Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, data management and administration. Knowledge of hospital/physician practice procedures and laws, regulation and guidelines. CPSI platform knowledge preferred. Familiarity with project management and support methodologies. Experience working effectively with clinicians and physicians.
Physical Requirements
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently and/or negligible amounts constantly.
Must be willing to travel locally to other system locations
Must be willing to respond to major incidents and support 24/7
