Description

Acute Care Department provides crisis assessment, family consultation, emergency assessment, regional rapid response, crisis stabilization, post hospitalization appointments to ensure continuity of care, and clinical consultation to MFS treatment teams. Our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) specifically offers community-based support to individuals in need whether they are at home, work, school or anywhere else in the community where the person is experiencing a mental health crisis. Our services are specifically aimed at diverting individuals from emergency room care and unnecessary hospitalizations by collaborating with first responders, health care providers and community-based agencies to stabilize a psychiatric crisis and connect individuals with psychiatric treatment. The Associate Director provides direct support to individuals in crisis through assessment, triage, and referral to appropriate services. Additionally, they manage the team schedule and time sheets, oversee grant and initiative databases, and provide direct supervision to assigned staff within the department. This is a full time, 35 hour per week position. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports the Director of Acute Care Services with various administrative functions ensuring department initiatives and services meet grant and contractural expectation
  • Ensure team is responding to calls and performing role responsibilities in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree with licensure preferred in mental health field.
  • Minimum of four years of full-time clinical experience post Master’s degree.
  • Previous experience providing crisis intervention, working with co-occurring disorders, and working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to relate well to staff, model conflict resolution skills and nurture a supportive work environment among all staff.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage complex situations to include exercising sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical and staffing situations.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of all Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook, TEAMS, etc.).
  • Advanced documentation skills and familiarity with data reports/spreadsheets.
  • Ability and desire to work as part of clinical and leadership teams while also able to be self-directed and motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills that guide the implementation and sustainability of program services and foster workforce development.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, organization, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills to manage competing projects across departments while adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability to acquire and effectively execute new skills as needed according to evolving agency needs.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The work takes place in the office, in the client’s home/community, and remotely via telehealth. Manual dexterity is needed to use computers. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is required. Must be able to flex schedule to accommodate needs of clients and staff. Reliable internet and phone access are required.
