Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on both residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and presentable.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently while maintaining cleanliness in waste management areas.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and special projects as directed by management.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
