On-Premise Sales & Tasting Room Specialist
This exciting opportunity combines the responsibilities of driving on-premise (bars and restaurants) sales, Monocacy Brewing tasting room sales, and leading a team of brand ambassadors to enhance the brewery’s market presence and reputation. The ideal candidate is a passionate, enthusiastic and outgoing leader skilled in sales strategy, hospitality, team management, and customer relationship building.
Responsibilities:
On-Premise Sales:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Drive on-premise sales growth by building relationships with bars, restaurants, and other hospitality venues.
- Conduct on-premise visits to ensure product placement, proper representation, and promotional activities.
- Organize and execute marketing initiatives, events, and promotional campaigns to boost on-site and on-premise sales.
Tasting Room:
- Oversee day-to-day tasting room operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Manage tasting room cleanliness, ambiance, and functionality to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with production to coordinate new product launches and tasting events
Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of brand ambassadors to represent the brewery at events, tastings, and promotions.
- Develop training programs to ensure brand ambassadors are knowledgeable about products, brewing processes, and brand values.
- Schedule and manage brand ambassador activities, including on-site and off-site events.
- Ensure brand ambassadors create positive, memorable interactions with customers and partners.
Customer Relations:
- Build strong relationships with on-premise accounts to secure draft handle placements and develop brand loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing concerns and identifying growth opportunities.
- Conduct staff trainings on brewery products to ensure accurate representation and upselling.
- Foster a welcoming and educational atmosphere in the tasting room, creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Collaborate with General Manager and others to represent the brewery at beer festivals and tasting events.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Track and report sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and promotional outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on tasting room performance, on-premise sales, and brand ambassador impact.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the craft beer, hospitality, or beverage industry, preferably in sales or team management.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of beer styles, brewing processes, and beverage trends.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and partnerships.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation
- Must be able to transport cases and kegs of beer as necessary.
- Must take Frederick County Alcohol Awareness certification
- Must be 21 years or age or older

- $20/hr commission and tips
