Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EKG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms (EKGs) on patients, ensuring accurate readings and providing essential data to assist in diagnosing heart conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EKG tests on patients, ensuring proper placement of electrodes and equipment functionality.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Educate patients about the EKG process and address any concerns they may have.
- Ensure all patient information is documented accurately in accordance with medical protocols.
Education, Experience & Requirements:
- Prefer college level student or graduate interested in pursuing an advanced degree in the medical field. High school diploma required.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Good organizational skills and ability to deal tactfully with a diverse group of people.
- Commitment to MSH customer service standards.
