Job Requirements:
* Must have a minimum of two years pastry production experience
* Must have safety and sanitation practices knowledge
* Culinary degree preferred
*Can work well with a team
*Create and execute seasonal dessert menus
*Basic computer knowledge with Word, Excel, Email etc.
*Physical requirements: must be able to lift 25-50 pounds of ingredients, trays, etc. Must be able to walk up and downstairs and stand for up to 10-12 hours a day.
Job Description:
- Produce dessert items daily for dinner service, private parties, etc.
- Write prep lists for the day and keep the quality of items as fresh as possible.
- Write recipes and use the costing system to come up with menu prices, inventory lists and cost analysis.
- Work with Front of House to ensure all changes made with desserts are communicated to the entire restaurant staff.
- Order ingredients solely for pastry through food distributors.
