Candidates:

We are looking for applicants who are passionate about student learning, collaboration, and using data to guide instruction. We look for teachers who love to learn and grow themselves and regularly look for opportunities to develop themselves professionally.

Curriculum:

• We follow the Core Knowledge Sequence, which spells out rich content knowledge for every grade level. Students don't just learn bland "skills." They learn real history, science, and literature in every grade level, from Ancient Egypt in 1st grade to Medieval History in 4th grade. Every year students delve into exciting content knowledge that they just don't get in other schools.
• Students get consistent, quality instruction in visual art, music, physical education, and computer science. Our "specials" teachers collaborate regularly with classroom teachers to integrate with and support the core curriculum. They are not siloed; they are an integral part of our program.

College Prep:

• We are a college-prep school, which means we challenge students; hold them to high, measurable standards; and accelerate learning wherever possible. We also offer rich specials courses that support our Core Knowledge program.

Collaboration:

• Our regular paid collaboration time and focus on effective meeting practices make the teamwork experience unlike any other school. We are positive, take ownership of our results, and support each to make amazing things happen for kids. We utilize data and short-cycle goal setting to make sure that what we are doing works.
