Position Overview : Responsible for working with the shipping team leader to organize and forecast long-terms contract specific packaging material needs. Pack and ship end products using proper packaging procedures and sound judgement.
Responsibilities :
- Organize and execute packaging based on contract specific and carrier requirements
- Read packaging schematic or drawing, gather materials, and build packaging assemblies
- Estimate package weight for bulk packaging assignments
- Follow proper packaging and safety procedures
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklift
- Deliver material from warehouse to production
- Make customer deliveries and local pick-ups with the Company box truck
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
- And other requested duties as needed
