Position Title: Material Handler Team Lead 2nd Shift

Reports to: Materials Manager

Work Location: Spartanburg

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will supervise all material handlers and shipper/receivers and enfore warehouse 5S / warehouse layout
    Will continue main job functions (either shipping/receiving or material handling) as well as providing leadership to shift
  • Able to work on standard Microsoft Office Suite and other employer/customer programs. Will need to send and confirm ASN’s.
  • Be main contact person on shift for problem solving, decision making, offer training and development of current material handlers & shipper/receivers, and conflict resolution
  • Must accurately and comprehensively prepare reports and fill out all paperwork as necessary.
  • Must be able to provide direction and support for team through effective management style
  • Be able to administer corrective actions and direct drivers on essential job function

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to perform work responsibilities safety and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • At least 3 years of Material Handling experience with 2yrs in a manufacturing environment and
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage projects in a timely manner
