What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director - School of Theology position at Mount St. Mary's Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM)?
Mount St. Mary’s School of Theology is seeking a full-time Program Director who will report to the Dean of the School of Theology. The director will likewise collaborate with the Coordinator of Lay Ecclesial Formation, the Registrar/Director of Assessment, and the Academic Office’s administrative assistant.
Role
The Program Director is responsible for the following:
- Under the guidance of the Dean of the School of Theology, the director will coordinate and supervise the academic offerings for the undergraduate-level Certificate in Pastoral Ministry and Certificate in Catholic Theology programs.
- In collaboration with the Coordinator of Lay Ecclesial Formation, the director will help oversee the formational offerings of the Lay Ecclesial Formation Program including theological reflection opportunities, pastoral field education experiences, and capstone projects.
- Under the guidance of the Dean of the School of Theology and in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Specialist, the director will help develop marketing strategies and outreach plans for School of Theology programs.
- The director will serve as an advisor for the students and help implement extracurricular student programming and events.
Skills and Experience
- Possess a minimum of a master’s degree in theology, philosophy, Catholic studies, or pastoral ministry from an accredited institution.
- Have a creative and entrepreneurial mode of thinking with strong organizational skills.
- Be familiar with Catholic ecclesiastical organizations and educational/formation programs.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Be committed to supporting the MTSM mission.
