What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist/Administrative Assistant position at Mountain Regional Services, Inc?
I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Essential Functions
A. Ensures the health, safety, and welfare of the participants. Treats all participants, co-workers, families, stakeholders and administrative staff with respect and dignity.
B. Maintains professional boundaries with participants, co-workers, families, stakeholders and administrative staff.
C. Acts as a role model displaying appropriate social behaviors to participants, co-workers, families, stakeholders and administrative staff.
D. Is familiar with the contents and instructions of participants’ Plan of Care, PBSP and schedules and implements applicable plans and protocols.
E. Knowledgeable of CARF and HCBS supported employment rules and guidelines.
F. Explores, develops and promotes participant employment interests.
G. Assists participants in obtaining and enhancing job seeking and interviewing skills.
H. Meets and builds relationships with potential employers.
I. Completes satisfaction surveys for employers and participants as required.
J. Develops working relationships with DVR.
1. Understands DVR paperwork, contracts and billing forms to complete.
2. Attends DVR appointments with participant, understands his/her desires/goals and assists in developing plan to meet those objectives.
3. Completes job development tasks.
4. Provides job coaching and trains staff on job coaching duties.
5. Provides accurate detailed documentation and submits in a timely manner.
6. Understands Medicaid/Social Security/Ticket to Work programs and their effects on participant benefits.
K. File/E-File Healthcare documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
L. Review due medications and send SComms to staff if documentation has not been completed daily.
M. Review the all PRN’s have been entered into the MAR and also that follow up has been completed Daily.
N. Work as a Direct Support Professional as needed (refer to DSP job description).
O. Provide Back-up at the front desk for the Human Resource Department as needed.
P. Responsible for on-call duties as assigned including assisting in emergency situations, filling staff vacancies, adhering to critical reporting protocols, communication with case managers and guardians and completing end of shift communications with relief and administrative staff .
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Other
A. Is aware of and follows Mountain Regional Services, Inc. Employee Guidelines, policies, procedures, and protocols.
B. Works with whom and where assigned.
C. Adheres to training provided.
D. Other duties as assigned.
III. SUPERVISION OF OTHERS
None.
IV. CONTROLS OVER WORK
This is a non-exempt position under the general supervision of the COI/CH Director.
V. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Must be 18 years of age or older.
B. Ability to obtain and retain CPI, CPR/First Aid, and MAT certifications.
C. Ability to assist in lifting, repositioning, and moving participants. Be able to properly lift over 50 lbs.
D. Be able to provide peri-care needs.
E. Valid driver’s license, maintain authorized driving status.
F. Must be able to pass all background checks which include the submission of employee fingerprints to the FBI and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services’ Central Registry, and the Office of Inspector General. These background screenings will be conducted at least every five (5) years throughout employment.
