What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales position at Mountainland Supply Company?
We are looking for an individual to join our team. The shift is Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Needs to have knowledge of wholesale distribution of plumbing, irrigation, or waterworks.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
- 3 years of related experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Human relations skills; oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of plumbing and waterworks a plus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided
- Build and maintain connections with potential customers, or leads, to cultivate new business and develop relationships
- Ascertain the type of part, fixture, or supply needed
- Inspect worn, damaged, or defective parts to determine replacement required
- Informs the customer of part needed according to the description of malfunction or customer’s expressed need
- Responsible for Pro-keep orders and communication through the program
- Maintain general understanding of part or fixture stock number and price, through training or reading online/catalog
- Find solution for customer orders through substitution or modification of part when a part is not available
- Pick and fulfill customer orders from stock using radio frequency gun (RF gun) technology
- May process orders or inquires over the phone
- May assist with loading customer orders on delivery trucks
- May handle products returns
- Perform other various duties, as outlined by supervisor

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
