Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.
Summary:
Mr. Greens is looking for a highly self-motivated and confident Outside Sales Produce Representative to join our organization. Candidates must have experience selling to retail produce companies like supermarkets. To be successful in this role, you must have the drive and commitment to excel in a fast-paced sales environment and provide outstanding customer service as needed. We rely on our Outside Sales Representatives to drive our growth exponentially.
Qualifications
- Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses
- Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
- Submits activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analysis.
- Stay up to date on trends by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques etc
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management team.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (out of stock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.).
- Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick-up requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of outside business-to-business sales experience in related industry
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skills
- Ability to read, write, speak English
- Bilingual – English/Spanish required
- Basic pc skills, proficiency in excel, experience with Excel and MS Outlook
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (including no DUIs within the last 7 years)
- Current automobile insurance with the following limits of liability: Bodily injury - $100,000 each person and $300,000 each accident; property damage - $50,000 is required
- Must pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen & Background Check)
