Cashier

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused cashier to join our team at Mr. Hibachi. As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer orders, managing transactions, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they arrive and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system
• Manage cash and credit card transactions, including making change and issuing receipts
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register area and reconcile cash at the end of each shift
• Provide menu recommendations and answer any customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders
• Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu, specials, and promotions to effectively up-sell to customers
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a cash handling or customer service role preferred
• Knowledge of basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
