We are actively seeking a qualified Daycare Academy Director who will oversee the daily operations and administration of the Academy. The candidate will be experienced in the field of Early Childhood Development. The Director’s responsibilities include recruitment of staff, property maintenance, communication, and overall operations.

To be successful as a Director, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as love for children. You should uphold the vision of the Academy with pride and ensure that the Academy meets the relevant standard set by the state. Ultimately, a top-notch Director will determine the needs of the school, protect the health and safety of children, work closely with the families and report to the owners.

Learning Center Director Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operation of the Academy.
• Manage admin team and staff in collaboration with the Owner.
• Create policies and develop curricula which conform to the state requirements.
• Ensure that the property is well-maintained.
• Manage financial transactions and prepare budgets.
• Schedule training of CPR and First Aid for all members of staff.
• Schedule on-going training of teachers.
• Manage day-to-day activities at the Academy.
• Hire, train, evaluate, supervise and dismiss teachers and staff.
• Provide leadership and supervision of interactions, activities, and materials appropriate for young children’s emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual and physical development.
• Protect and enhance the health and safety of the children and staff at the Learning Center.
• Maintain an inviting physical environment which fosters optimal growth and development.
• Facilitate tours and enrollment.
• Inform and welcome parents as observers and contributors to the program.
• Represent the program in the community.

Academy Director Requirements:

• Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field
• Child Care Administrator License
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Minimum of 3 years of classroom experience.
• Strong leadership and administrative skills.
• Love for children and passion for teaching.
• No criminal record or child-related offenses.

This is NOT an entry level position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
