Endoscopy Technician
Progressive surgery Center is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Endoscopy technician to join the team and help lead a successful surgery center.
Summary: The Endoscopy Technician directly assists the physician during an endoscopy procedure. They also work independently in preparing the room for the patient and ensure that all equipment and supplies are appropriate and in proper working condition for the scheduled procedure. The Endoscopy Technician must know the specifics for the procedure scheduled as well as the physician conducting the procedure. This individual must possess personable skills to comfort patients during stressful situations. The individual must follow strict guidelines to maintain Infection Control. The Endoscopy Technician must demonstrate proper handling and care of equipment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of all scope reprocessing control measures.
- Maintains scopes & equipment in proper working condition.
- Consistently demonstrates thorough appropriate cleaning and disinfection of all endoscopy instrumentation.
- Demonstrates careful utilization of center resources in handling of scopes and equipment.
- Demonstrates willingness to identify and/or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of the department.
- Participates in maintaining proper inventory supply levels.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job‑related hazards. Complies with regulatory requirements and standards of care
- Follows the center's exposure control plans, CDC’s Standard Precautions, and use of personnel protective equipment (PPE)
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, fellow employees, physicians, contractors and vendors to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Maintains and supports a culture of compliance, ethics, & integrity
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department team inter- and intradepartmental to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Participates in department's quality assurance/quality improvement program.
- Works within scope of practice and according to center policies
- Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with the Principles of Responsibilities, applicable regulatory requirements, external laws, and accreditation standards
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School graduation or equivalent
- Previous patience care experience
- Must have current BLS certification
No "call", No holidays, No weekends.
