Marine Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in boat maintenance, with the ability to work on various marine vessels. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our clients.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines and systems (inboard and outboard).
• Assemble and disassemble components as needed for servicing.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct heavy lifting and rigging tasks safely while handling equipment.
• Fabricate parts or components as necessary to complete repairs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vessel’s needs.
• Assist in sales efforts by providing technical expertise on marine products and services.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician in the marine industry or related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate rigging equipment safely.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications related to marine mechanics are a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
