Position Summary:
The Crisis Therapist provides crisis intervention and evaluation to meet the unique needs of consumers and their families in the community, emergency room, consumer residence and other areas as requested, in accordance with agency policies/procedures, and WAC regulations using supervisory consultation as needed. The Crisis Therapist performs interventions that may include initial imminent risk evaluation to determine the level of danger to self, others or extent of being gravely disabled, with appropriate referrals to inpatient, outpatient and/or county designated Crisis Responders for involuntary inpatient investigations or linking to community supports. The incumbent fulfills all mandatory reporting requirements per agency policy.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous Crisis experience preferred
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights
Ability to obtain Washington State Counselor Agency-Affiliated Registration upon hire
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Master's degree, Mental health professional (MHP) as defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) required.
Current Washington State Drivers License, proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state and proof of insurance for the transportation of clients
