Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager/Estimator with experience in all construction areas to join our team. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the construction projects from start to finish, and will be required to work directly with Superintendents, Subcontractors, Estimating, and Accounting.
Salary is commensurate with position, education, and experience.
Essential Duties and Roles:
Oversee the planning of a project from estimation to completion.
Perform Management and Leadership skills in a professional manner.
Must be able to work as a team and handle the workload with critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a positive attitude and adaptability skills.
Responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the project’s scope.
Organizational and Communication Skills with an open and honest communication in all aspects of the work with team members, clients and outside vendors/subcontractors.
Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions within established guidelines and policies.
Must be deadline and detail oriented. Thoroughly understand plans and specifications.
Utilize OST software to read and analyze construction drawings for accurate takeoff quantities.
Assemble takeoff and pricing to prepare competitive estimates for both self-performed and subcontracted work.
Creates and updates project schedules.
Attends Pre-construction meetings and ongoing project meetings and verifies subcontractors have a clear scope of work and schedule.
Prepare and manage subcontractor documents, RFI’s, purchase orders, submittals, change orders, and close-out documents with accuracy.
Assures as-built drawings are kept up to date in the field.
Verifies receipt of signed contract, certificate of insurance, and safety agreement from subcontractors prior to beginning work.
Produces in-house production reports, schedule of values, progress reports, and effectively manages several projects at once.
Ensure all project work is completed in accordance with specifications, schedule, safety, compliance requirements, and punch lists.
Be accountable for yourself and others on the team. Must be able to follow office protocol procedures.
This position requires work in an office environment with the ability to travel to job sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science Management and Equivalent or Experience
5-7 years project management and field experience
Valid Driver’s license
