Multilink is a growing company in the field of internet / telecommunication MFG and is looking for experienced machine operators to join our team.
Job Description
Operates conventional, special purpose, and laser machinery. May be responsible for programming or troubleshooting depending upon skill level.
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or samples to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece and sequence of operations. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
Essential Duties:
- Effectively uses shop instructions including manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, tool listings and quality guidelines.
- Sets up and operates machines as required by the job
- May participate in programming or program machinery for adjustments as needed/capable.
- Sorts and reworks non-conforming parts as required
- Scans materials with RF scanner to transact materials “real time movement” and participates in inventory control.
- Follows safe working practices and notifies supervisor or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed.
- Achieves production goals as set by manager
- Produces product to established quality standards and notifies direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found
- Requests raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
- Develops machinery knowledge and stays current on operational guidelines
- Wears appropriate PPE at all times
- Organizes and maintains cleanliness of workspace
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Basic computer knowledge desired
- Experience with RF Scanners and/or MRP tracking systems for inventory management
- Ability to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and blueprints, tape measures, calipers, and other shop drawing or measuring aides.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Safety conscious behavior.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
- Ability to read and write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- High School Education or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
Work Site Environment
- Ability to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Safety conscious behavior.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
