The Museum of Idaho (MOI) is seeking a reliable and self-motivated individual to help organize, grow, and care for the museum’s archival and artifact collections.
Responsibilities include:
- Accessioning newly donated items into the collection and maintaining documents for new and existing artifacts
- Assisting with artifact acquisition, management of collections, and maintenance of artifacts’ intellectual history
- Enhancing the collections records database with digitized images of accessioned objects
- Supervising curatorial department interns and volunteers
- Working with colleagues to support the use of collections within MOI exhibits and programs
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise in museum studies, history, or related field
- Experience with Past Perfect or other collections management system
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including computer literacy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
