Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex civil litigation matters, primarily in personal injury and wrongful death cases.
- Conduct all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and trial.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop legal strategies, and keep them informed throughout their case.
- Collaborate with the firm's team of attorneys, paralegals, and case managers to ensure efficient case progression.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and represent clients in mediations and court proceedings.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the State Bar of Michigan.
- 5-7 years of civil litigation experience, with a proven track record in personal injury or similar cases.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to handle depositions, motions, and trial work independently.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
- A client-centered approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with legal research tools and case management software.
