We are looking for an Underwriting Manager to join our team. The Underwriting Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Underwriting and the Underwriting Services Supervisor. The Underwriting Manager will manage the day to day operations of the Underwriting department; utilize policy forms, underwriting guidelines and rating algorithms to achieve corporate underwriting and profitability goals; implement and support the achievement of established goals and objectives; ensure the department's compliance with various operating policies and procedures and various regulatory requirements; manage assigned personnel; communicate with other management personnel as needed; provide periodic management reports.
A BS or BA degree in a related field is normally required; Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in property and casualty insurance underwriting or related positions normally required.
