What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Rec. Assoc II position at MW Components?
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the visual sorting and packaging of fasteners. This is a full-time position with overtime potential. Additional responsibilities will be to safely load and unload trucks, as well as move material within the facility both from racked locations and loading platforms by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks or other material-handling equipment. Minimal clerical work is also required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
REPORTING TO:
Warehouse Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receive all incoming product
- Work with OPS Coordinator, Receiving Team and Customer Service
- Visual sorting of fasteners
- Handle outbound shipments and incoming materials
- Pull orders from inventory areas for outbound shipments from pick sheets generated from the computer
- Pack finished goods from production for inventory/outbound shipments (will check and verify correct packing slips are associated will all product)
- Required to shrink wrap the outbound shipments on pallets
- Communicate with team members on daily objectives and tasks at hand
- Help to develop work procedures
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to visually sort product for defects in a sitting position
- Ability to perform minimal data entry/clerical tasks
- Effectively read, write and communicate in English; Spanish is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and routine basis
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred
