What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at MW Components?
Job Summary:
The truck driver will be operating company vehicles for the transportation of raw material and finished goods to and from suppliers and customers in Ohio. Warehouse duties will also be required.
Essential Job Functions
- Operates company vehicle and is responsible for the prompt and compliant delivery of materials to and from local suppliers and customers
- Adheres to all city and state highway regulations pertaining to truck and load limits, safety regulations and set speed limits
- Responsible for loading vehicle and maintaining gas, oil, water and other normal care of equipment as required
- Loading and unloading of company vehicle with the use of a tow motor
- Maintains driving record in good standing in accordance with company policy
- Maintains safe working conditions and follows established operator safety procedures
- Warehouse work may be required when not operating company vehicle; includes packaging and sorting parts in cartons up to 50 lbs., cleaning and taking out trash, loading and unloading vendor or customer trucks at our dock with the use of a tow motor or pallet jack
Skills and Abilities:
- Class B CDL or equivalent required
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
- Independent self-starter able to perform without direct and explicit instruction
- Should have a positive and professional attitude
- Tow motor experience is a plus but training is available
