Job description
Ascend Ministries is a ministry that offers a Christian, adult, long-term, residential program in addition to detox, short term and outpatient state-licensed rehabilitation programs for individuals struggling with chemical addiction.
Our Elizabethtown, Naaman Center location has an opening for a PT driver to transport patients to and from our outpatient services.
Specific Tasks:
- Practice safe driving techniques and always obey all traffic laws.
- Responsible for providing comfortable transportation for female patients as scheduled. Assure that they arrive safely and on schedule
- Provide reassurance when needed in an effort to reduce any anxiety new patients may be feeling regarding entering our treatment programs
- Greet patients with courtesy and professionalism
- Assure that assigned vehicle is properly cleaned and stocked with any needed items
- Maintain knowledge of programs offered at PAATC in order to answer basic questions that patients or family may have during pick up
Job Requirements:
- Must have a Driver’s License in good standing and meet the organizations driving criteria for coverage under our insurance.
- Must be over the age of 25 in order to be covered by insurance to drive a 15 passenger van.
- High School degree or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and comprehend verbal instructions
- Must have a passion and appreciation for the Christian mission of the organization
- Must be ready to mobilize on short notice
- Must be comfortable driving in all conditions including at night, during inclement weather, and in inner-city locations
- If in recovery, 2 years substance free preferred
