NAFI's LYNC Program located in Willimantic, CT and we are exploring candidates for Transportation Case Aid which is responsible for transporting youth and their families to and from LYNC program services. Must be dependable, reliable and detailed with the ability to interface easily with clients, staff and referral sources. As part of the LYNC team, the Transportation Case Aid will maintain a cultural, gender and trauma responsive approach, working effectively and respectfully with others who have diverse traditions and beliefs.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Provides most of the transportation within the catchment area, primarily group travel or picking up multiple youth within a common destination
• Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections and routine vehicle maintenance
• Complete and submit monthly vehicle reports as required
• Maintain gas cards usage and receipts
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles
• Participate in program and agency meetings including supervision as assigned
• Complete required training in timely manner
• Comply with agency and program documentation standards
• Engage, support practice of skills, and supporting families
• Integral to sustainability and discharge planning
• Informed and knowledgeable of any safety concerns in community and with the youth and family

Desired Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience transporting children or youth preferred
• Some knowledge of juvenile justice system
• Must have valid driver’s license and no traffic violation on record
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
