Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Nanny to provide exceptional care for our children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role requires a proactive individual who can engage children in fun and educational activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Job specifics: We are looking for a nanny to care for our 2-month-old baby and 3-year-old 4 days a week and our 5-year-old 1 full day and 3 half days per week. 3 and 5 year olds are potty trained. Four 10 hour days each week, Thursdays and weekends off, 2 weeks paid vacation.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and caring manner.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide infant care, including feeding, diaper changing, and soothing.
- Assist preschool and toddler-aged children with daily routines, including meal preparation and clean-up.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for playtime and activities.
- Ensure the safety of children at all times, including monitoring their activities indoors and outdoors.
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in nannying or childcare, with references available upon request.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is essential. Training/certification will be paid for by employer
- Ability to cook healthy meals and prepare snacks for children.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both children and parents.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
- Background check will be required prior to employment.
