Position Title: Associate Manager – Federal Support Programs Analysis
Work Location: St. Louis, MO or Morristown, NJ
Supervisory Position: No
Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining internal processes for analyzing large volumes of federal support payment data received from the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).
2. Reconcile monthly federal support payment files for both preliminary and final data. Ensure accuracy of payment data files and transfer of data to mechanized systems to generate disbursement statements.
3. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies. Maintain supporting documentation for monthly payment files as well as any discrepancies or reconciliation issues.
4. Communicate explanations for unusual payment adjustments or company specific discrepancies to NECA’s regional staff. Serve as a liaison between region staff and USAC to communicate information or questions on federal support payment data.
5. Implement analysis activities necessary to monitor study area specific federal support
payment data, including interpretation of the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) rules as they apply to federal support programs. Provide ad hoc analyses to Manager — Federal Support Program Analysis.
6. Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure payment data is generated accurately in the mechanized system.
7. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
3 - 5 years in the following areas:
- Data Analysis/Management
- Good working knowledge of SAS
- Customer Service
Desired:
- Telecommunications
- Microsoft Excel Macro programming
- System Testing
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Statistics, Finance, or another Business-related field.
