Assignment Description
ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Clinical Psychologists oversee and deliver behavioral health assessments to civilian employees for fitness to serve determinations and conditions of employment. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical health providers and medical advisors to contribute comprehensive guidance and furnish expert consultation on the agency’s employee medical process. They lead efforts to design, develop and implement tailored employee behavioral wellness programs agency-wide. They communicate, educate and engage the workforce on resiliency programs enhancing employee health and well-being. They deliver metrics on agency behavioral health services data. They serve as lead agency behavioral health representatives, subject matter experts and technical monitors for agency psychological/mental health services.
Qualifications Mandatory
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling or School Psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and must have completed an APA-accredited Doctoral Internship Program. -AND-LICENSES: Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:
1. Ability to continuously look for ways to improve results, show resourcefulness, or drive for excellence
2. Experience in collaborating with a team to deliver holistic (physical and behavioral) assessments.
3. Demonstrated experience working with deployed military service personnel or civilians.
4. Demonstrated the ability to assess patients or identify potential mental health issues.

DCIPS Statement
NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices.
This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601.
