We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our organization and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:

-Supervises the accounting staff; oversees processing of the general ledger; oversees the reconciliation of daily/monthly accounting modules; general ledger, investments; accounts payable and fixed assets.

Conducts relevant research and resolves discrepancies.

Manages and fully understands all general ledger interfaces to the COCC system.

Comprehends the complexities of multiple operational systems within the bank, including COCC loan/deposit functions.

Ability to fully utilize the COCC system and numerous available reports.

Manages cash position of the bank -- after maintaining adequate compensating balances. Review and manage daily and quarterly cash flow analysis. Initiate FHLB or FRB and FFS borrowings as needed.

Assist with payroll processing and review accuracy of payroll reports.

Assist with budgeting process and monthly variance reports.

Assist with quarterly ACL calculations.

Assist with the Asset Liability reporting to Committee.

Reviews and prepares quarterly Investment and Asset/Liability Committee reports utilized to monitor the bank’s interest rate risk using asset/liability statistical computer models.

Manages and assists with quarterly and year-end financial reporting including the FDIC Call Report and FRB reporting.

Assists/ coordinates with external auditors and regulatory examiners for periodic review on Accounting functions.

Manages and assists with Holding company transactions and shareholder maintenance including dividend payments and processing transfers.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent; finance or banking experience required.

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in financial accounting; progressive accounting and finance-related experience in financial institutions a plus.

Advanced knowledge of banking internal accounting controls, Strong supervisory skills; team leadership skills Strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication and listening skills.

Strong computer/banking software experience; deep analytical, problem solving and planning skills; extremely detail oriented.

Proven ability to stay current with and comply with industry regulations; understanding of GAAP

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must.
