About the Position The 2nd shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all plant and warehouse equipment to ensure 100% uptime.
Successful candidates will possess the following Qualifications:
- Prior maintenance experience in the food industry.
- Mechanical troubleshooting: Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyors
- Electrical troubleshooting: Basic PLC troubleshooting, Ac/Dc circuits. 3 phase power, VFD & motor controls, Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Pneumatic troubleshooting: Cylinders, Valves, Compressors.
- Skilled in Tig welding, fabrication, and other shop equipment.
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years multi-craft experience required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Follow all company Safety procedures and Quality GMP's
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team.
- Maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance repair.
- Working with the production team to change over the machine and adjust for maximum efficiency while minimizing waste.
- Assistance in overseeing outside contractors during equipment installations or building construction.
- Participate in root cause analysis, safety design and quality improvement process.
- Work second shift, off shift and weekends as needed.
- Ability to routinely perform strenuous physical labor.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
The ideal candidate
- 2-5 years of experience in Maintenance in a production environment. (Food MFG preferred)
- High school diploma or a GED certificate required.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
