What You Will Do:
The Kitchen Assistant works on the Kitchen Team to support cooks in prepping and serving cafeteria-style food to youth and adults at our campus in the Marin Headlands. This primarily is a dishwashing and custodial position. Other duties related to food preparation and service as assigned.
This is a full-time position with either a morning or evening shift:
- Morning shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm OR 5:30am to 2:00pm
- Afternoon shift: 11:00am to 7:30pm OR 11:30am - 8pm
- Schedule options:
- Monday-Friday
- Tuesday-Saturday
- Wednesday-Sunday
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots and pans.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room cabinets.
- Keep all refrigerators clean with dates and labels on all items.
- Maintain and clean the Kitchen and Equipment.
- Receive and stock deliveries of food and supplies.
- Help to set up the buffet.
- Help cooks in the preparation of meals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Compensation:
- $18-20/hour

Qualifications
Who You Are:

- Interest in and ability to support the preparation of meals
- Promptness and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Able to work well with other staff.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure and time limits.
- Food service experience preferred.
