Summary:


Navisun LLC is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the technical aspects of sales, project development, and customer engagement. This role will serve as a crucial technical resource, bridging the gap between sales, engineering, and project development teams to ensure seamless execution of solar and energy storage solutions. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Business Development team to assess feasibility, prepare proposals, and ensure project designs align with Navisun’s technical specifications and other requirements.


This position requires a deep understanding of solar PV and energy storage systems, the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and a strong problem-solving mindset. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Navisun’s pipeline and ensuring the highest level of technical diligence in sales and project development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a technical expert supporting the Business Development team in engaging with determining feasibility of identified project locations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to develop accurate preliminary system layouts, energy production estimates, and financial modeling inputs.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield analysis to support internal project evaluations.
  • Support the evaluation of interconnection feasibility, working with utilities and permitting authorities.
  • Stay informed on evolving solar PV and energy storage technologies, cost trends, and best practices to improve project competitiveness.
  • Assist in the negotiation of technical aspects of sales agreements, PPAs, and EPC contracts.
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, policy, and operations teams to ensure technical accuracy and risk mitigation in project development.
  • Represent Navisun at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings to communicate technical capabilities and solutions.



Qualifications:


  • 0-3 years of experience in solar and/or energy storage system design, sales engineering, or project development.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV system design, energy storage technologies, and interconnection requirements.
  • Experience with technical modeling software such as PV Case, PVSyst, AutoCAD, and/or other solar design tools.
  • There may be additions, deletions and modifications to the qualifications and functions of this job periodically.

  • Knowledge of power markets, incentives, and utility interconnection policies.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable presentations for customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and energy production modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership, customers, and investors.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field required
