Job Description:

Duties:
- Manage daily operations including but not limited to scheduling and tracking shipments, negotiating rates with carriers and handling customer questions.
- Builds new and grows current customer base, with both shippers and carriers
- Request and audit all necessary shipper and carrier documents before load tender
- Responds to high volume communications daily
- Responsible for relaying customer invoicing information to the billing department as well as tracking aging accounts receivable. Contacts customer accounts payable with past due invoices.
- Prepare financial reports and files insurance claims as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent communication, computer skills, organizational abilities, and geographical knowledge
- Displays tact, diplomacy, and calmness when dealing with co-workers, tired drivers/carriers, and disgruntled customers.
- Good intuition to make crucial judgment calls
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 25 – 45 pounds at times
