We are looking for a motivated Advertising Sales Representative to help businesses and organizations reach our engaged readership.
Position Overview
This is a contract, part-time, and temporary position ideal for a results-driven sales professional. The primary responsibility is to sell print and digital advertising for Nebraska Life Magazine by identifying potential advertisers, developing relationships and closing sales. This role is remote-friendly but requires familiarity with Nebraska businesses.
Compensation Structure
This position offers a commission-based pay structure with competitive rates based on sales closed.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and contact potential advertisers, including businesses, tourism organizations, and event planners.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their marketing needs and offering tailored advertising solutions.
- Sell print and digital advertising across Nebraska Life Magazine’s platforms.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals and handling contracts.
- Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to ensure ad placements align with the magazine’s content and readership.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous sales experience, preferably in advertising, media, or marketing.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proven ability to close sales.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools and email communication for sales outreach.
- Familiarity with Nebraska businesses and organizations is a plus.
