Assistant Coach (Focus Area in Football)

Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit student athletes. Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques.

1. Represent Wayne State College and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality
2. Promote and support Wayne State College and its mission.
3. Promote and support Wayne State College Athletic Department’s program mission and goals.
4. Assist football program within the rules, policies, and procedures of Wayne State College, NSIC, and the NCAA.
5. Assist the head coach with coaching, recruiting, administration, and overall implementation of the intercollegiate football program.
6. Assist head coach with overseeing and monitoring student-athlete academic success and eligibility.
7. Provide leadership and oversight with program compliance of NCAA rules and regulations
8. Assist head coach with the development, coordination, and implementation of practice plans, strategies, and coaching techniques.
9. Assist head coach with the coordination and implementation of sports camps and leagues.
10. Assist with overseeing all football recruiting, planning, and coordination.
11. Assist in promotion, fundraising, and public relations activities for the Wayne State College Athletic Department as required.
12. Other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach or the Director of Athletics.
