What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Nelson Pipeline Constructors, LLC?
Nelson Pipeline is seeking a highly motivated Shop Mechanic who will be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, inspecting and maintaining earth moving equipment, primarily servicing rentals and some customer owned equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery and equipment following specifications and manuals
- Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunctions
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- May operate mobile equipment including service truck to retrieve down truck assets
- Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
- Perform welding, repair and fabrication
- Purchase parts for repairs as needed
- Communicates timely and effectively with shop leadership to keep them informed about major problems
- Ability to submit work orders through systems
- Adheres to all safety rules
- Maintaining the work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly manner on a continuous basis
- Other job duties as assigned
