Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of complex integrated security systems to include the wiring, equipment and programming of access control systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance system, network systems, intercom systems, and emergency communications systems as well as voice and data infrastructure and audio/visual systems for commercial and government facilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines;
- Using electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation;
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Ability to analyze information and visualize problem resolutions;
- Readjusting equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation;
- Performing system checks for proper operation;
- Performing computer program entry, as required, to add closed circuit television cameras, access control devices and intrusion alarm systems as needed;
- Quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products through training and/or independent research;
- Working independently to complete installation jobs;
- Submitting all complete paperwork related to job assignments;
- Using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment;
- Feeding cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets. Position and terminate cables, wires and strapping;
- Drilling holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings and floors;
- Conduct End- User training;
- Isolating trouble to a customer network, where applicable;
- Responding to emergency situations during and/or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety/security concerns;
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the function and design of alarm systems;
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work under pressure while meeting all client deadlines; multitasking skills required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Must demonstrate exceptional initiative and resourcefulness, being able to work through a variety of obstacles and provide a problem resolution;
- Valid Driver’s License; Acceptable driving record;
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from various project and client sites;
- Experience with MCSE, CCNA, surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, perimeter intrusion detection systems and security gate operators preferred;
- Proficiency in TCP/IP networking skills;
- Proficiency in all aspects and operation of card access and CCTV systems;
- Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets/databases, various low voltage systems and media storage;
- Adherence to regular attendance and normal scheduled hours.
- MUST BE WILLING TO TAKE A FLU AND COVID-19 VACCINE AS THIS IS LOCATED IN A HOSPITAL
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) year experience in digital and analog camera, access control and IP addressable systems;
- High School diploma or equivalent required; College degree highly desirable;
- Specialized training/certifications in access control, CCTV-IP based systems;
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift objects and carry up to 40 lbs.;
- Demonstrate/Perform correct use of body mobility functions such as standing while working, walking, climbing and lifting/performing tasks on a ladder with a total weight capacity of 300 lbs., crawling, and use of basic hand tools, while wearing protective equipment and gear.
