Actively recruiting experienced medical receptionist for part time position (three days a week). Prior experience in a medical office required. Hours 8AM thru 5 PM. One hour for lunch. Requires knowledge of ICD10 diagnosis, CPT/E&M coding, Knowledge of medical terminology. A team worker who enjoys working with and helping patients and who works well with their fellow employees. Computer experience and knowledge a must. Knowledge of HIPPA and Medicare Fraud and abuse regulations. Handling phone messages and ability to register patients into the computer system. Insurance knowledge required, i.e. experience with verifying insurance coverage, making sure required authorizations are received prior to patient appointment, and collecting patient copays and any outstanding balance. Ability to identify an emergency situation when handling the phones. Prior work in an EMR system along with some knowledge of prescription handling.
