POSITION SUMMARY:
Press Operator I safely operates manual single stroke and continuous feed stamping presses, occasionally runs tumbling equipment and other functions such as secondary operations.
This position is open for First Shift (7am-3pm).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
· Produce products in stamping presses
· Operate manual feed presses.
· Operate OBI, gap frame, straight side or C-frame presses to standard production requirements.
· Recordkeeping of parts produced, inspection documents and job information such as raw material and finished goods inventories.
· Properly maintain completed goods in appropriate containers, including boxing and labeling finished goods.
· Operate tumbling equipment as necessary.
· Utilize proper safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
· Maintain order in work area.
· Level 1 Press Operator Certification training program supplied by the company.
· Assist in other tasks as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES: (including but not limited to)
· Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Able to utilize basic mechanical tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
- Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, simple quality gages and microscopes.
- Being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
- Internally inspired to perform a task to the best of ones ability using his or her own drive or initiative.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to walk, stand, sit for periods of time
· Good vision with assistance of vision enhancing devices if necessary
· Bending, lifting, pulling up to 100 pounds.
· OK with repetitive movement
· Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Eye, Ear, Footwear)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Manufacturing environment with working conditions including noise, oils, soaps and/or rust preventatives.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
