They are seeking a Junior Paralegal to join their team and support their attorneys and tax specialists in delivering top-notch service to their clients.
Position Summary:
The Junior Paralegal will assist with legal documentation, case management, and administrative tasks to support tax resolution and compliance efforts. This is an onsite role, offering an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in tax law and resolution while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including correspondence, agreements, and case filings.
- Assist in preparing tax resolution cases, including Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, and other submissions to the IRS or state tax agencies.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and identify relevant laws and precedents.
- Maintain and organize client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate with clients to gather documentation, provide updates, and address basic inquiries.
- Coordinate with attorneys, CPAs, and tax specialists to streamline case workflows.
- Calendar management, including tracking deadlines, hearings, and filing requirements.
- Proofread and format documents to meet legal standards and client expectations.
- Perform administrative duties, such as managing correspondence and scheduling meetings.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or degree in Paralegal Studies required.
- 1β3 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, preferably in tax law, litigation, or business law.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Knowledge of tax resolution processes or willingness to gain expertise in the field is a plus.
