Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse during the evening shift. The 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all evening warehousing operations within both our 400 & 425 Warehouse. This position is responsible for overseeing all picking, packing, and shipping activities. Duties also include inventory management. The Warehouse Manager is also responsible for setting priorities throughout the day to ensure that all customer orders are picked and delivered to meet customer expectations, along with handling ongoing audits.
This role requires a leader with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse team while ensuring the smooth flow of inventory, materials, and products. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Inventory Control, Material Handling, Billing, Sales and others to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This Warehouse Manager role offers the chance to make meaningful improvements in operational processes while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure success across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing multiple teams amongst two warehouses, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of all warehousing operations; Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, parts storage, inventory accuracy, and shipping/receiving functions.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse personnel ensuring the team operates efficiently and safely, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivating employees to meet or exceed warehouse goals.
- Responsible for ensuring all orders are picked/packed/pulled and ensuring timely, accurate, and safe shipping of products.
- Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and resolve any issues that impact warehouse operations or customer service; Work with the Inventory Control Team to track inventory levels, conduct audits, and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate with material handlers to ensure products are properly stored, picked, and shipped according to company standards.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient warehouse operations; Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, promoting a safety-conscious work environment.
- Responsible for initiating corrective actions, when needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Education:
- 3 years of experience in Warehouse Management or a similar supervisory role, ideally within a logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team.
- Experience collaborating with different teams and departments; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and departments.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- ERP experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry up to 75lbs individually and frequently and up to 100lbs during teams lifts.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, heavy-duty warehouse environment.
