Seeking a highly skilled Certified Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage Azure Gov IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions, including on-premises-to-cloud migration (VMware). This role involves technical leadership in creating and implementing cloud strategies, hybrid architectures, and cost management practices. Proficiency in core Microsoft technologies, cloud security, infrastructure-as-code (IAC), DevOps, and scripting is essential. The position demands expertise in networking, identity management, and virtualization, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), Microsoft Azure certification, and at least three years of public/Gov cloud design and maintenance experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, deploy, and manage Azure Gov IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services and solutions.
- Implement and maintain Azure Gov Cloud tenants, including VMware workload migrations from on-premises to the cloud.
- Manage product/platform architectures and ensure alignment with the architectural vision for all projects.
- Conduct analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure and cloud data center solutions, including computing, networking, and security.
- Design and support solutions in cloud and virtualized environments, with an understanding of hybrid cloud architectures.
- Communicate, advocate, and implement the architectural vision across teams.
- Provide technical leadership and direction for complex projects.
- Develop and manage a well-informed cloud strategy and oversee the adaptation process.
- Manage Azure Gov services' costs, including implementing a tagging strategy for cloud resources.
- Proficiently manage Microsoft technologies like Windows, Active Directory, Identity and Access Management, and SQL.
- Design, build, upgrade, and decommission Windows and Linux systems and services, including Active Directory, Azure Storage, BCDR, App Services, Networking, and Virtual Machines.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers and support providers to resolve issues within service level expectations.
- Create detailed documentation for various audiences in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, XML, and JSON.
Required Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (or 10 years of equivalent experience).
- Microsoft Azure certification in specialized areas is required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in designing and maintaining public/Gov cloud solutions, focusing on Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
- Strong understanding of IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, DNS, load balancing, and routing.
- Proven experience with applications migration (VMware to Azure).
- Advanced skills in Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates, Azure DevOps, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in Azure Identity Management, cloud monitoring tools, and implementing DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
